Tagged: 64_bits, Getting Started, Linux_ubuntu, SOFA_1706
Hello,
I am following the Sofa Tutorials, and I come to “Creation of a Pendulum (4/8)” and when I tried to add a position coordinate to the section of position but failed and no matter what I tried it could not work. Do you know what is going on? Would you be able to help me figure it out?
Thank you very much!
Dear @baymin,
Welcome to the SOFA forum.
Good thing to start with the tutorials, video and documentation.
This scene seems to use an old feature of the API. Adding new point, or removing points in the MO is not that straightfoward and should not really be done through the GUI. I invite you to carry on the tutorials, and we will investigate this problem that relates to a deep part of the SOFA API.
Best,
Hugo
Hi, Hugo
I found that I can add values in the properties section in the Modeler window.
Thank you very much.
Best,
Baymin
As far as I know, Modeler can only provide some basic operation and it is not under development.
In Modeler, you can set how many points you want to use by seting the number.
After that, you can open the *.scn file using text editor to modify the properties of these points.
This is the way how I solve it. I am wondering if there is more elegant ways to manage it.
