    Dear,
    I have been working with REISNER-MINDLIN FLAT SHELL elements whose each node has 5 DOF in total. As far as I know, provided FEM modules (e.g. triangleFEMforcefiled) are only applicable for 2D in-plane transformation. Thus, I just wonder is there any available FEM module satisfying what I am looking for? In the case of NO, I am willing to write a new one, however, I just wonder if it is possible and still don’t have a clue how to do it? So it would be great if anyone might give advice regarding this issue. Thanks a lot for any help.

    Dear @nhnhan

    Shell elements were implemented some times ago in a private plugin. I will update it and make it open-source soon. It requires two things:
    – time that I spent to update / fix the code
    – time that I spent for the administrative validation for open-sourcing

    As soon as it will be done, we will communicate about this on our social media (twitter) and on the SOFA marketplace. Stay tuned!

    Dear @hugo,
    In fact, I have implemented the FORCE FIELDs for such types of elements and it successfully is compiled and run with SOFA. However, I know that this FF is still raw and has many things to be improved, thus it would be great if I can receive any advice or suggestion from you or any SOFA developer regarding this work in private (just for this moment).     Great then! The best to discuss would be to propose it as a pull-request in SOFA. It would then be discussed within the dev community at the dev meetings.

    Dear @hugo
    I have created a PR (#1745) related to my proposal. I also add an example scene and it works. Since this is my first PR as well as implementation work in SOFA, therefore, there will be a lot of things would/should be improved. Thanks in advance for any kind support or advice from SOFA dev community.
