Dear SOFA Users
This post to inform you that we have put online a new version of Blender SOFA.
For the record, Blender SOFA is a modified version of Blender that allows to use SOFA as an alternate engine in the Blender Game Engine (instead of Bullet). We believe that this can be a very interesting tool to set-up and tune your simulation scenes. You can also use it to create nice films or nice pictures of your simulation, thanks to Blender render engines.
This new version is based on Blender 2.74, and is currently available for both Linux and Windows. It is now shipped with an unmodified version of SOFA public. We are working in a way that should allow you to safely use your own version of SOFA.
The new functionalities provided by this version are the following:
– Simulation sub-steps;
– Bilateral constraints;
– Fixed point constraints;
– Box force fields.
The Blender SOFA can be downloaded here:

Feel free to download and try it. And do not hesitate to send us your feedback !
Best regards to all

I have really enjoyed using this. Would it be possible to integrate SOFA so it can be used not just in the game engine of blender?
