The University Florida made it official by becoming a SOFA Consortium Technical Member. For several years, the SurfLab at the University has been using and developing with SOFA. Led by Pr. Peters, the team explores different research fields like computer graphics & interactive simulation, design of complex geometry and visualization.

Jorg Peter’s team also made a very nice coupling of SOFA within Blender last year. They presented this significant work at the SOFA Week 2018.

As a Technical Member, the Asan Medical Center will help us coordinating the developments, defining and contributing to the technical roadmap. The number of SOFA Technical Members now amounts to four with University Florida, Asan Medical Center, Fraunhofer IPA and Kyungpook University.
