Following the ISBMS conference, the SHACRA team organizes an event around the SOFA framework on October 18 in Strasbourg. SOFA is an Open Source framework primarily targeted at real-time simulation, with an emphasis on medical simulation. It is mostly intended for the research community to help develop newer algorithms, but can also be used as an efficient prototyping tool. SOFA is currently developed by 3 INRIA teams: Shacra, Evasion and Asclepios. More information about SOFA can be found here.
This SOFA day will take place at IRCAD in Strasbourg.
This idea of this meeting is to propose some tutorials for SOFA (Main concepts, Mappings, Force Fields, Solvers…) and to present recent work based on SOFA. The opportunity will therefore be given to present your work done using SOFA and to increase exchange and communication within the SOFA community.
The detailed program is available here.
To REGISTER to this SOFA day, please use the ISBMS portal and select only the option of SOFA day.
