Project Description
The myocardium is the heart muscle that contracts depending on the concentration of free calcium ions in the cells. This code is a plugin implementing a physiological model for the mechanical contraction of the heart muscle.
Based on the Bestel-Clément-Sorine model, it involves a passive non-linear elasticity and an active fibre contraction. Finally, an haemodynamic model in order to take into account the presence of blood inside the ventricles. It uses as input: a volumetric (tetrahedral) mesh discretizing the heart in space, and the fiber orientations.
