Shell Elastic FEM

Shell elements combine forces from in-plane deformations, i.e. stretching and shearing, with bending forces. These internal forces f are a function of current displacement measured as difference of the current element shape to its rest shape. The computation is accelerated by using a corotational formulation that is based on the definition of local frames for each element.
