Hi, on the about-SOFA page (https://www.sofa-framework.org/about-sofa/) and a good few publications on sofa, there are images of the abdominal organs. However, I can only find the liver in the download and github. Is there anywhere I can download the other abdominal organs or a scene or plugin with all of the abdominal organs?
I have not asked but am sure my advisor will not approve of paying for the unity-3D software. Open source software would be best. About half a year ago, I tried working with sofa but gave up at the time, so help would be greatly appreciated. I am sure that I will be able to make edits as necessary. However, I do not know where to start even getting the correct geometry and properties for each organ and doubt I can make models comparable to what has been mentioned in literature and on the SOFA website in the time my advisor will allow me to work on this. I am looking to simulate a surgical tool navigating through the abdomen and organ puncture with a needle tip.
Thank you for any replies.
Hi Nancy,
you may have a look at this open source database from the IRCAD institute.
Best,
Noura
