Hi there,
I am trying to use soft robotics plugin; I started with the Sofa & Soft Robotics: First Steps Tutorial. I can not open the editor like the tutorial. I am using Sofa BINARIES (v19.04) on win 10, I also installed Python 2.7. when I click open file in the editor a black screen flashes and disappears.
I appreciate your help.
Could you try running the runSofa from a command window?
It should output messages which will be helpful understanding the problem.
Best,
Hugo
Hi Hugo,
Thank you for your fast response. I used the command window to runsofa. I did not get any error messages.when I click on the Write it yourself in the tutorial I got this message
Now, if I click on the Try the scene in Sofa. When I try to open the editor, it opens notepad.
What I am doing now I copy and paste the code in notepad ++. Is this enough to start working, or I have a problem?
I appreciate your help.
Sorry for this very late reply, summer time and restart of the academic year kept us busy.
The messages you are showing in the image look perfectly fine.
You can indeed copy paste a scene file and modify it yourself.
Let us know if you need more guidance in your first steps.
Best wishes,
Hugo
