Can Sofa cut the volume (eg liver)?

In the example “examples \ Demos \ TriangleSurfaceCutting.scn”, only the faces are cut. If it is volume, such as liver, sofa can cut it?
Through SofaCarving plug-ins can be achieved? Who can give me an example? Thank you

You are making a good point.
No example of volumetric cutting is available in SOFA, but we are working on it.
You should be able to use it very soon.
