Home › Forum › SOFA › Using SOFA › [SOLVED] How can I get the local frames in TetrahedralCorotationalFEMForceField?
Hello everyone,
As some papers of Sofa presented, each tetrahedral element in TetrahedralCorotationalFEMForceField does have a local frame within it. And I want to use these local frames to do a mapping. So how can I obtain these local frames?
Hi @outtt
I have really no idea what you are talking about when you mention these “frames”.
Can you explain a bit please?

Hi Wong,
I saw the paper, but I am not sure whether I understand your question very well, I dont have so much experience, but you are looking for the local frames, for instance in the two attached figures below shows the this a simulation of the three layered beams and a point mapped to it. Could you please elaborate more whether these local frames you want to display them, or you want to know their location. I will do my best to help as much as I can.
Hello @meldiwiny,
Yes. It is just the kind of scene I am looking for, as the figures shown above. I want to map the beams to the local frames. How can I implement it?
The visualization of the local frames is not necessary, but it would be fine if they do.
Hello @meldiwiny,
Have you found the local frames?
I am eager to use them and waiting for your good news daily.
Nice to hear Wong,
Could you let us know how you solved your issue?
I close also this topic.
