Home › Forum › SOFA › Using SOFA › [SOLVED] How to reduce overhead in persisting contact?
Tagged: 64_bits, persisting contact, SOFA_1712, Windows_7
Hello everyone,
In my scene, I want to do something about persisting contact, which means that two object would be contacting mutually for a long time. But it, as is known , would involve heavy computing cost for solver to solve.
So I want to look for a substitute for the regular collision model. I notice there is a component PenalityContactForceField in Sofa but I do not know how to use it and I do not know if it is the solution either.
So can anyone tell me if there is a substitute or other way to reduce the overhead in persisting contact?
Hello, I have solved the problem. Thank you.
