Hi, I am new to SOFA and using it via writing XML scene files and executing them by the runSofa.exe file. Is it a standard way to start? I am wondering if there is a reference to find out all the XML tags and possibilities that are available. Currently, I am using the SOFA API to find the attributes of a component. However, on top of that, I need to know the concept behind a component. I tried to use the SOFA documentation, but I could hardly find materials relevant to my specific keywords. Probably, there is a better way to search and find about the XML entries. Please guide me.
Welcome to SOFA! We are glad having you in the community.
A good introduction to SOFA regarding XML would be to take a look at the examples (see examples/Components and examples/Tutorials in SOFA).
You can also find useful information to start with SOFA:
Note that we are also proposing training sessions for an efficient introduction to SOFA.
