[SOLVED] Plugin creation CMake error

Hello,

I’m having some issues trying to develop my own plugin but CMake is throwing some errors.
I have used the skeleton in EmptyPlugin.zip

My CMakeLists is this

include(${SOFA_CMAKE_DIR}/preProject.cmake)

set(HEADER_FILES

    initMSLabPlugin.h

	)

set(SOURCE_FILES

    initMSLabPlugin.cpp

	)

add_library(${PROJECT_NAME} SHARED ${HEADER_FILES} ${SOURCE_FILES})

include(${SOFA_CMAKE_DIR}/postProject.cmake)

and the errors are these

Indeed, as mentioned in some other posts, we are currently working on the documentation of SOFA. This takes a huge amount of time. I just updated the documentation regarding How to build a new plugin in SOFA. Please do not hesitate to report any issue, missing information or typos.

I have tried what is said in the new documentation page, but I’m still having the same issue. I think the error is related with the ${SOFA_CMAKE_DIR} variable. I have tried to print it with
MESSAGE(STATUS "SOFA_CMAKE_DIR: ${SOFA_CMAKE_DIR}")
and the variable is not setted.

I have also tried to use the same approach as in the CGALPlugin (which basically consist on deleting the include lines. If I do that, I get some linking problems.

Moreover, in the new doc, there is no postProject include line. Is that correct?

Dear Juan Jo,

My mistake, there is a remaining line which should not be here. Look at the How to build a new plugin page, I made the correction.

The line with “preProject” should be deleted, and your CMakeList.txt should start with:

cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8.12)
project(MyPlugin)

Let me know whether this works now.

As I said, that works for the CMake. The library is built but components are not linked.

I’m trying to create a component which inherits from sofa::core::DataEngine and I’m having the link errors I have already post before.

Okay, forget it. Was my fault. I didn’t implement the virtual destructor :-S
