Tagged: 64_bits, Forcefield, Linux_ubuntu, SOFA_1612
Hello Friends.
I’m working on a simulation.
we need a random linear force field such a rand function in MATLAB to make a Force Field like a noise in our Field.
Could you please help me?
Any way to make a Force Field like noise is acceptable.
Thank you.
Hi @masoud,
we already implemented such a simple code. You can find it in this repository: MyAwesomeComponents (see the src folder). This repository can be compiled as an external plugin.
I would be curious to know more about your institution and your simulation activity with SOFA. Do not hesitate to tell us more about it!
Cheers

Hi dear @Hugo
Actually is solved my problem with different approach. However you suggestion was good. but the developer of this component should work better on his plugin because this approach cause unstable situation to the simulation,
Thank you.
Hi @masoud,
No worries, this plugin has not been written with consideration to stability. This work only aims at presenting how to create a plugin and write a basic forcefield, thus getting used to the SOFA API. Looking forward to hearing about your next steps with SOFA!
Never hesitate to use the forum or talk about your SOFA work on the social media!
Best
