Tagged: pyscn, SOFA, SOFA_2012, softrobots, VS2019, Windows_10
Dear all,
I’ve installed a compiled version of SOFA (v20.12) with the SoftRobots, SoftRobots.Inverse, STLIB, and ModelOrderReduction plugins.
When I tried to open any of the SoftRobots plugin tutorials, the .pyscn files do not appear in the Open dialog. Also, nothing shown in the root.
I’m using Windows 10,
Python 3.9.4,
numpy 1.20.2.
The plugins folder in the main SOFA directory includes the STLIB, SofaPython3, and SofaPython plugins.
Kindly advise,
solved after using sofaPython instead of sofaPython3.
Hi, could you provide some more information on how you got the .pyscn to opened. i have SOFA v20.12 binaries on windows 10 too and could not open any .pyscn.
Hi,
Make sure that you have Python 2.7, then use the SOFA GUI to import the following plugins (.dll files) from the plugins folder: STLIB, SoftRobots, and SofaPython (not SofaPython3).
Hi, i am able to load STLIB, SoftRobots .dll fliesbut noy the SofaPython. the erroe message says the specified module could not be found.
Hi,
The SofaPython.dll exists in the bin folder of the SoftPython.
Hi, Thats what i did. i got the error message everytime i try to add SofaPython.dll.
Hello Anthony, I think the order of loading the DLLs matters. For me too, every time I loaded the SofaPython it crashed initially. I removed all the manually added plugins, then added the SofaPython
plugin first, followed by the other plugins (SoftRobots
, SoftRobots.Inverse
, ModelOrderReduction
, etc.). But, for me the psycn
files still refused to load unlike the OP.
